About Me

Hello! My name is Paula Popowski. I am a designer and art director with over ten years of experience executing strategic branding solutions across print, web, social media, and mobile.

Currently, I work at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications. As a member of the Public Affairs team, I craft marketing materials that tell stories about the many ways in which the NCSA helps scientists and engineers improve our world.

Starting this Fall, I will I also teach Introduction to Graphic Design through the School of Art and Design at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

As a designer, I depart from the philosophy that effective design empowers all marketing efforts and enhances the lives of those who use it. Throughout my career I have cherished working with clients from a wide range of industries and backgrounds, collaborating with them to arrive at smart, well-executed solutions that are user-centric and delightful to use.
