American Trade Investment Proposal
Conservatorio SA challenged me to create a report that would convince investors to fund construction of a luxury-class, independently-owned, boutique hotel in the middle of a global financial crisis. By conducting and synthesizing rigorous market research, I created a presentation that proved to be a key factor in securing funding for a project that served as a major catalyst for investment in the societal and economic health of the area.
Client
The American Trade Hotel and Hall opened its doors in Fall 2013 in Panama City, occupying a lovingly restored landmark building in Casco Viejo. The property stands at the ecological and cultural crossroads of the Americas, deeply connected to both the historic Old Quarter and the nascent new Panama City–a meeting place for influencers, creatives and cultures from around the world. The property and surrounding area are steeped in local heritage and culture, while the hotel has been thoroughly outfitted with the contemporary conveniences and modern luxuries today’s traveler requires.
Project
I joined Conservatorio S.A as a consulting Creative Director shortly after one the most devastating economic recessions in recent history. In under three months I helped create a unified marketing strategy for the company that was based on extensive market and psychodemographic research.
My efforts in conducting and presenting the extensive research that went into the American Trade and Hall Investment report helped secure a multi-million dollar loan for a 50-room luxury boutique hotel in the middle of global financial crisis and contributed to the hotel’s acceptance into the prestigious Ace Hotels family of brands.
